I'm pretty sure these are the final colors for the piece. I've yet to get an email back from your man, but I'm sure he'll be after sending it eventually. Like all the other mock-up's, I'll dump this in the scraps once I finish the glass, but I've a feeling that won't be for weeks to come. On this, I just left out the lead-lines, as well as the places where I'll be using clear glass. But I'm sure you can figure out their respective locations. I'll update this with the corner etchings, when I draft them. One down, three to go.

EDIT: The color has yet to be finalized, so if you've got an opinion or suggestion, don't keep it to yourself. I want to know if my nagging doubt with this has more to do with my lack of sleep, or an actual problem.

This is just going to be stunning!

I've stared and stared and stared at the colours, and I love them. The only thing that jars slightly (I think - ignore at will!) is the very bright blue. I didn't think that to start with, I thought it was the yellow / oranges being too bright, but I think after thought, that the blue is slightly out of place because its such a pure colour, when all of the others are darker than their pure colours. Does that make sense??

It does make since - but it's funny that you should point that out, because I was trying to decide if I should double-layer the glass there. The double-layering makes the blue glass much darker. :) Thank you for the comment!

Double layering.. you sure you want to do that? unless its some thin antique. The design is great but I wouldn't want to cut it without a saw. And then the future problems of internal stress would bother me.
a transome shield? will it be swung in and out? I had a peice of glass in the back of my car that expansion fractured because the fit wasn't loose enough. I can imagine this piece fracturing from a door slam. But i would suppose the installation has a lot to do with something like that. If you have questions about what I've written just note me.

No - this transom will be above the front door, where nothing but the wind from the ceiling fan can touch it. Thank you for the advice though, because he did make a joke about needing to have a matching door to go with it. I hadn't really considered that, though I'm sure the fear would have plagued me had I a reason to think about it.

What do they say but, this too shall Pass. If your going to keep doing this you need to find an Installer to take all your fears away.

Well then I'm glad I mentioned it!:nod:

I think you could at least play around with the idea of the darker blue there =D

Oi - and I did decide to double-layer it, too. :D
